“Will Robertson reminded me why I have always loved the comics.”
The Children’s and Teen’s Book Connection
This week, I went to check on the girl’s room and noticed that my 7 year old was reading under the covers with a flashlight. I pulled back the covers and she was reading C&K. She told me that she loved them and had already read it front to back twice.
Funny. If you have kids you will appreciate the humor found in this short comic. Lots of very funny panels. Really love the goldfish "story".
A great book. I bought this book for my nine year old grandson, Colten. He loved the book. He says, "I think this book is great because it is funny and I like the drawings. I got to meet Will and he was really nice."
My 11 year old really enjoyed this book and he's hoping to get more soon. He also like Calvin and Hobbes so this was right up his ally.
Laughed my head off! In this side-splitting book, brothers Casey and Kyle spend their time annoying their parents, being misunderstood by their parents, dealing with bullies, and being forced to eat lima beans. The day this book came in the mail I read it cover to cover. I loved it. It's the perfect display of what life with kids is like, but it's also a great example of how fun and how tough it is being a kid. From digging for buried treasure to torturing little brothers, from being bamboozled by mom over bedtime to driving mom crazy over dinner time, and from Halloween to Christmas, this book will make you laugh out loud.

Casey and Kyle sometimes wreck havoc in the house with their dart guns. Lamps may hit the floor, for example. They may sometimes start playing with the water hose outside in 30 degree weather, much to the dismay of their mother. We follow their antics through the year and through the seasons and various holidays. This is a family comic with humor, as Casey and Kyle and their parents and friends interact in an amusing and sometimes wry way.
Will Robertson fully embraces the craziness and fun of children in his Casey and Kyle comics. In this day and age, it can be hard to find `good, clean, fun' reads, but Robertson has certainly accomplished that in his comics. Brothers Casey and Kyle provide heaps of laughs as they navigate the strange and big world of children.
